This is a re-work of https://app.mbwoodturners.ca/picture.aspx?p=143. I had cut the original in order to hollow it, then glued it back together. Well, the hollowed part moved and the glue let go. So I had to clean the mating surfaces and re-glue the two pieces. This left a noticeable glue line. My wife suggested a band of some kind, like metal or fabric. I found a spool of poly twine and decided to try this. I'll keep it for a while, and if I don't like it, I can always rip it off and start over on the finish.
